Agri-Tourism and Event Venue

The Ranch continues to develop a range of Agri-Tourism ventures, including horseback riding, wagon rides, nature walks, birding outings and planting and harvesting ranching demonstrations.  These activities will be scheduled around ranching operations and the occurrence of wildlife.  We will continue to host unique events such as weddings, Western BBQs, holiday gatherings and other seasonal events staged around Ranch operations such as the Hops and Brew Fest and Civil War Days, to further extend the Agri-Tourism experience to the public.

Compatible Development

Much as we are evolving our operations to be more compatible with today’s community, and as the seemingly never-ending pressure to convert agricultural land to development continues, the Mahon Ranch is also working to explore and discover development approaches for the small upland portion of our Ranch that will be compatible with our ranching and farming practices on the Home Ranch and Clay Station Road Ranch rangeland.
